TCM is designed to allow craftsmen to find work, set their own hours and decide how many jobs they want to do without having to work for a company. Craftsmen can also use TCM to find additional work on the side while they hold another job. The goal of TCM is to provide an avenue to connect potential employers with skilled craftsmen and be able to receive top pay if they make it to the top tiers on their own.

TCM does not get involved in the payment process for the job. That is between the User and Contractor.

You can join and pay $25.00 per month or you can pay by the year for $250.00. This will allow you to post your skills on the TCM website and browse and bid on jobs within the range you are willing to travel as long as you are a member.

Yes, you can list under as many categories as you are qualified for.

Top Craft Market^® helps you find skilled craftsmen in your area that are rated by you the customer so you can be confident that the person you select can do the job. You can pick from any of 6 different tier levels of craftsmen so the higher up you go in the tier system the higher skills the person has. Through TCM, contractor should be able to get high quality work done at a reasonable price without having to pay the overhead to go through a company to get the work done.

Everyone who finds work through TCM is responsible for their own taxes.

Potential employers that are looking for someone that a category doesn’t exist for can put in a request for a new category to be added. It will be reviewed and added if it is deemed something that fits within our site boundaries. You can submit suggestions by contacting us here.

While background checks are recommended for getting the most work, it is not required to sign up on the site. We provide a link that you can use to get a background check if you decide to do so. You will have the option to display a completed background check in your profile, giving you an edge over your competition.
